New England Boating TV comes to Newburyport

Join Tom Richardson and Parker Kelley online as they explore the historic city of Newburyport, Massachusetts, on the banks of the mighty Merrimack River. The pair kick it off by launching their Pursuit C260 at the Cashman Park launch facility before heading downriver to the city’s municipal floats.and exploring the vibrant downtown area.  From this convenient base Parker stops by theCustom House Maritime Museum for a bit of historical perspective on the city and the Lower Merrimack, before checking out the Black Cow and Michael’s Harborside restaurants.

Also in this episode is guided tour of the river with Capt. Bill Taplin of Merrimack River Cruises, along with a scenic paddle with Plum Island Kayak and a visit with Newburyport Marinas’ Randall Lyons and Richie Twomey who discuss the company’s four marinas in Newburyport.

Parker also enjoys a small-plane ride with local pilot Shwan Sammy of  Murray Aviation, while Tom pays a visit to Graham McKay at the historic Lowell’s Boat Shop, which continues to turn out finely crafted small wooden vessels while teaching students the art of wooden boatbuilding.Co-host Parker Kelley flies a plane over Newburyport
