Three Live Performances of “Voices Of Christmas Past”
Meet the Cast of VOICES OF CHRISTMAS PAST:
DENNIS PURDIE has been working in theater in the greater seacoast area for the past 35 years. On The Firehouse stage he has been seen in "With Love Till I Come Marching Home", "South Pacific", "It's a Wonderful Life", and "Laughter on the 23rd Floor". In addition, Dennis's singing and dancing talents have been showcased in many musicals at several theaters including The Amesbury Playhouse and Giordano's Dinner Theater. When not "treading the boards", Dennis is a Rural Carrier at the Exeter Post Office, has a 24 year old son, Cameron, and resides with his wife, Debbie in Amesbury.
TOM SEILER has been "on the boards" since age 9 and doesn’t plan to leave until they drag him out kicking and screaming. Theatre is his passion with over 200 productions to his credit. His interests also encompass film acting as a long time member of the Screen Actors Guild & AFTRA, independent film producer, author, screenwriter, voiceovers – and military collector of world orders and decorations.
NANCY FICHERA lives and works in Rowley, Mass. She has performed in theater for 12 years, and is currently with Darlyne Franklin Productions as a cast member of "The Wicked Housewives of the Mob Boston". Nancy is honored to be with the cast of Voices of Christmas Past and grateful to Kate Gilbert for this opportunity to bring local history alive!
ROB CARROLL is a native of Newburyport. His last project was in the director's chair for The Vally Player's production of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest". He has played hundreds of roles on stage which include the lead roles in "Dracula", "The Fantasticks", "The Mousetrap", "Guys 'n' Dolls", "The Rainmaker", "Annie Get Your Gun", "Dial M for Murder", and "Come Blow Your Horn" to name but a few. Rob is an avid musician, and also holds a second degree black belt in Aikido, a Japanese martial art in which he is also an instructor.
JAMIE MILLEN was born and raised in Newburyport, and is now in the process of transferring to the University of Massachusetts Boston, to pursue a Bachelor in English degree with a Philosophy minor. Jamie has participated in theatrical productions for years as an active participant at the Amesbury Playhouse where she had the pleasure of playing Shelby in their production of Steel Magnolias. Along with her other eclectic tastes, Jamie enjoys classic and modern literature. She hopes to become a high school or community college professor.
RICK ANDRADE has been doing theatre for 11 years. A resident of Amesbury, Mass. he is also an Elvis Tribute Artist. He was last seen as Danny Zuko in the Wakefield Repertory Theatre production of Grease. He hopes everyone enjoys this production and has a wonderful holiday season.
KATE GILBERT performed her Tufts graduate school internship at the Custom House Maritime Museum and as Exhibition Curator is now the Producer and Director of "Voices Of Christmas Past." Having researched the museum's collection for these amazing Christmas day log book entries, she hopes that this presentation will give visitors a glimpse into Newburyport's past, and provide cheer for the upcoming season! Kate extends many thanks to her friends who were willing to 'dress up' and help put this presentation together.
