Come and join the fun -- admission is FREE for all children accompanied by an adult!

Family Fun Days at the Custom House Maritime Museum are specially designed for school vacation week, Tuesday through Friday, April 18 – 21, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. It's a great opportunity for parents, students and children of every age to learn more about Newburyport maritime history through participation in a variety of games and activities.

Join in the fun: Scavenger hunts, Signal Flag games, Word Games, Story Telling, Learn about Nautical Instruments, Tying Sailor’s Knots, Coloring, Music, Prizes, Tour the Museum's Seven Galleries, Family Photographs for posting to our Custom House Facebook Page!

The Adventures of Piratess Tilly

Tuesday – April 18

  • 10:00 – 2:00: Meet Author Elizabeth Lorayne along with Piratess Tilly!

The Adventures of Piratess Tilly continues when Piratess Tilly herself makes an appearance with yuki, and will read to visitors about her grand adventures. Plus Match-the-Image and Pin-the-Yuki-on-the-Ship games.

  • 10:00 – 2:00: Master model ship builder Bob Walton will explain all about his Steamboat Sabino and his new 42-inch Tugboat Seguin
