July First Friday Social - Featuring America's Oldest Continuing Maritime Service
The July First Friday Social features
Revenue Cutter Operations in the War of 1812

Museum members and their guests are cordially invited to our First Friday Social on July 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm, when we feature America’s oldest continuous maritime service - the United States Coast Guard.
Be sure you include this event in your busy Fourth of July week activities as we extend the focus of our current exhibition, War of 1812 - A New American Nation Under Fire, through the generous support of our sponsor Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank.
On Friday we welcome Bates College Senior and Custom House Maritime Museum Intern, Lindsay Cullen, as our featured guest presenting Revenue Cutter Operations in the War of 1812.
Be certain you join us on our visit to this new and curious chapter in the long and complex history of the United States Coast Guard.
With summer in full swing, make it a point to join us as we celebrate Newburyport and America's remarkable maritime heritage. Come meet other museum members, volunteers and directors. Take this opportunity to invite a friend to introduce to the Custom House Maritime Museum and a relaxing evening of conversation, company and maritime discovery in the heart of downtown Newburyport.
For your refreshment, wine, beer and soft drinks will be served.
This month, Sheila Mullins' famed Spice Trade Culinary Adventure takes us to the East Asia archipelago nation of -- Japan. Not to be missed!
We proudly feature the great and distinctive beers of Harpoon Brewery, the official beer of the Custom House Maritime Museum.

Our mission is to protect, preserve and interpret the maritime heritage of the lower Merrimack Valley region and how it relates to American history.
